Dastan presents a solo exhibition of works by Farbod Elkaee titled "Here, We Can Stay for a While." at Dastan's Basement. The exhibition will open on Friday, August 21, 2020, and will be on display for public viewing until September 4. His first solo show at Dastan, this exhibition features acrylic paintings on cardboard and canvas.
Farbod Elkaee (b. 1992, Tehran) is a graduate of painting from Soore Art University (2015, Tehran). Currently living and working in Tehran, he began his artistic practice in the fields of painting and sculpture since 2006. Farbod Elkaee's works have been featured in several group exhibitions and collaborative/collective art projects.
"Here, We Can Stay for a While." combines representational depiction of the natural world with geometry. His first solo exhibition of works, this series, delves into the artist's childhood recollections from his first encounter with a mountain image, when he saw a triangular shape drawn by one of his school teachers- a vivid memory which, as he states, has most probably triggered his passion for imagination.
