In the past two years, Najme’s thoughts have revolved around the concept of humans in nature, and in this current collection
we can see nature dominate the human being. This dominance demonstrates the enormity and grandeur of the natural
world.
The presence of the sea in these works is a product of coincidence. Water gives her a simultaneous feeling of security and
insecurity, with these mixed emotions portrayed as chaos and turbulence in her works.
Najme is an experiential artist in terms of technique.
For Najme, the most intriguing part of the artistic process is the creation of layers with different materials. The action of
“painting” and what occurs during the technical process appeal to her.
Najme Kazzazi was born in the Iranian city of Kermanshah in 1985 and holds a degree in Painting from Sooreh University.
This exhibition, entitled “Where the Fish Goes, the Water Flows”, is her second collaboration with INJA Gallery and her fourth
solo exhibition, comprising 25 paintings of different dimensions which reflect Najme’s frame of mind in the past year
