Quietism is the title of a two-year-in-the-making project by Salim Salehi in collaboration with Iranshahr Art Gallery. Here is an unadorned, abstract look at form and color, creating a distinct world of animals - normally looked at as tools employed by man - formed in the mind of the artist. The hen's giddiness, the rooster's pride, the rabbit's leap, the goat's agility, the sheep's corpulence, the ostrich's daze, the horse's mulishness and the fox's cunning is depicted in these works, exuding an air of silence and bedazzlement A distinct world of form, sentiment and sincerity seen in animals and their close study has come to characterize Salim's works, showing his profound perception of the animals' figures and comportments.
