Pariyoush Ganji’s landscapes are among his most influential works. The circulation of night and day in the heart of nature is depicted in the vast field of these paintings, among various layers of plant foliage. Ganji’s color theme varies in each series, and the brevity in the expression depends on both the subject and the choice of the color palette.
Ganji’s brushwork is layered and sometimes even reaches fifteen layers, accompanied by certain lights and shades. He considers the richness of her color a product of contemplation in nature. Through her bold expressionist dynamism, the subject matter constantly disappears and the painting moves towards abstraction, while light from various angles reveals numerous details. The Day, Night, Day is influenced by Japanese water and ink painting, “Sumi-e”, and the works have been created in black and white.
