Shahrouz Sadr was born in 1976 in Tehran. He is a graduate of Tehran Fine Art School and received his bachelor's degree in graphic arts from Islamic Azad University. In addition to painting, he has taught printmaking, drawing and sculpture at different art schools and universities.
He has held many group and solo exhibitions and has collaborated with various galleries, among which Iranshahr, Homa, Shirin and O Gallery can be mentioned. Shahrouz Sadr has also worked in fields other than painting, such as making urban sculptures, printmaking and illustrating books. He has also participated in two drawing biennials and a printmaking biennial at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, and his works have been exhibited in countries such as Italy, France, Portugal, and South Korea.
Shahrouz Sadr's works are first executed in the form of conventional drawings on paper and then taken to the digital space so that the rest of the details and coloring are done in that space; After completing the works in the digital space, this artist executes some of them on the canvas. The subject of Sadr's paintings are often figures and plants that are depicted in a fantasy way with some humor and exaggeration. Sadr's painting style, along with his unique choice of themes, has distinguished his works from the painters of his generation, so that they are more similar to the works of contemporary art in the world and the artists of his next generation. It seems that his educational background in graphics has affected in this distinction.
