Massoud Arabshahi is one of the iranian modern painters who was interested in the combination of traditional Art with modern matter. From 1956 to 1959, he studied at the Tehran Art school. He graduated with a bachelor degree in painting and master degree in interior design architecture from the Academy of Decorative Arts (1961-1968). Arabshahi held his first solo exhibition in 1962 at the Cultural Association of Iran and India. He collaborated with Qandriz Hall and was a member of “The Azad Art Group”. His artworks have been showcased in numerous exhibitions in Iran and other countries. Arabshahi's first appearance at the auctions dates back to May 2006 at the Christie's Auction House. 

He was known for his tendency towards the Saqqakhaneh movement in early years of his career. His focus is on the elements, visual motifs, and features of ancient Iranian art, which distinguishes him from his colleagues.

"My interest in painting was probably the turning point of my life and it's rooted in my Geists,” said Masoud Arabshahi about his passion for painting. ”In my path, I am used to silence, loneliness and inner isolation, and this has been with me since my childhood, and It has grown with me.”
