Meeting Art S.p.a. of Vercelli is an auction house that today occupies one of the first places in terms of importance and turnover within the Italian art market.
It was established in 1979.
The auction house operates through six departments:
  Modern and contemporary art
  19th and 20th century paintings
  Oriental carpets
  Modern and vintage jewellery
  Modern and vintage watches
  Antiques
The spearhead of Meeting Art is undoubtedly the modern and contemporary art sector, which alone accounts for more than half of the turnover, offering famous names from the national and international art scene and also dedicating space to emerging artists. The contribution of the sector dedicated to watches is also notable.
The auction calendar is very tight and runs from September to June, with sale sessions every weekend, plus midweek sessions.
Auction sessions have always been broadcast live on television, but for the past few years it has also been possible to follow the auctions on a satellite channel and on the website (www.meetingart.it), which allows, after registration, to bid and buy lots from the web.
