Sahar Salehi was born in 1976 in Karaj, Iran. After completing her studies at the School of Fine Arts, she pursued higher education at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Painting. She studied painting under the mentorship of Mahmoud Zanganeh. Salehi is a permanent member of the Iranian Painters Association and, alongside her artistic endeavours, is also engaged in teaching.

After an initial phase of experimentation, Salehi moved away from concerns with form and strict adherence to composition, instead creating her works using the collage technique. Throughout her career, she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions both within Iran and internationally.
