Reza Baharvand, born in 1976 in Khorramabad, earned his master's degree in painting from the University of Art in 2011. He maintains continuous membership in the Iranian Painters Association and possesses teaching experience at Tehran University of Art, Science, and Culture.
His journey in exhibitions commenced with a group exhibition at Isfahan Museum of Contemporary Arts in 2003, and since then, he has participated in over 30 individual and group shows. In 2009, Baharvand's inaugural solo exhibition, a video installation titled "Dark Room," was held at Aria Art Gallery in Tehran.
Baharvand's works exhibit a distinctive approach to still life, imbued with social concepts. Through his art, he symbolically positions objects as representations of materialism and false showcases juxtaposed against ruins. This juxtaposition underscores his emphasis on the superiority of ruins over glamour.
