Morteza Nematollahi received his training at the Isfahan School of Fine Arts (1963-1966). He completed his bachelor's degree in sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran (1970). He spent several years studying in France and returned to his hometown, Isfahan, in 1991. His paintings were first exhibited at the Naqsh Hall (1975). His sculptures have been showcased in various exhibitions and sculpture biennials. Nematollahi has created numerous public statues, including those of Sheikh Baha'i, Ferdowsi, Ali Akbar Mo'ammar, and Tairan.
