Master Mohammad Fasoonki was born on December 18, 1943, in Tabriz. Following his admission to the Tabriz Music Conservatory in 1956, his artistic career changed direction after seven years. His desire to paint led him to enroll at the Tabriz Art Academy. After that, he moved to Germany to continue his studies and joined the Frankfurt State Conservatory.
This diligent painter moved to Italy in 1970 to study painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Rome. Two years later, he studied sculpture. Painting and sculpture became two disciplines that made him a reliable and international figure, and several decades later, his name was raised among the prominent figures of world painting.
After four years of study and continuous efforts, Master Mohammad Fasoonki returned to the country to set up the first exhibition of his works at Mirak Fine Arts Gallery. This was in Tabriz. Two years later, in 1976, a show of his paintings was held in the Qandariz Hall of Tehran, making him a well-known figure. Since those years, Mohammad Fasoonki has been continuously participating in group and solo painting exhibitions and is one of the most active contemporary painters in the country. Half a century of experience, effort, learning, and education has placed his name among the creators of contemporary art.
Membership in the Association of Berlin Painters, teaching in several art higher education centers in Tabriz, membership on the board of directors of the Visual Arts Association of Tabriz, and several other titles are among the artistic records of Master Mohammad Fasoonki.
Master Fasoonki, one of the most prolific and active painters in Iran, considers it one of his dreams to provide a space for public display. The majority of his works are kept in his house.
To date, three of his works have been published and released to the market: portraits of Mohammad Fasoonki, the celebration of Fasoonki sculptures, and paintings of Mohammad Fasoonki.
