Kourosh Adim, photographer and illustrator, was born in Babol. His university education was in the field of biology. Adim won the FIAP Blue Ribbon Award in the second Iranian photography biennale in 1996. He participated in the Netherlands' 5th Triennial Dutch Art Show a year later. In 2002, he exhibited his works for the first time in a group exhibition at New Art Gallery in Walsall. The same year, his works participated in other group exhibitions at the Pickers Museum of Greece and the 140th Edinburgh International Exhibition. In the following years of his career, he continuously exhibited his works in galleries in countries such as England, the United States of America, Belgium, France, etc. In 2006, Dubai Eye Gallery hosted his solo exhibition, "The Ambiguous Presence of Meaning." The photos of this collection were previously published in a book with the same title by Mahriz Publishing House. He has also published a collection of his other images in the form of books called "Raz-e-Roy," "Pure Presence," "Karaneh Didar," etc. He has also been a member of the jury of several national photo exhibitions and was a member of the policymaking council of the 11th Iran Photography Biennial. He also played a prominent role in establishing the Babol Photography Association in 1994. Adim has also had experiences in the field of poetry. Ghoo publishing has published Adim's poems in the book "Shadow of hair on the stone." In 2019, Adim published photos of 70 contemporary Iranian poets smiling in the middle of a friendly conversation in the book "Poet's Smile."
