Hamid Bahrami is an Iranian cartoonist, designer, and animator. He was born in Khoramshahr in 1972 and immigrated to the USA in 2009. As a child, he witnessed the events of the war in Khoramshahr, which had a profound impact on his artwork as an adult. Bahrami received his art diploma from Isfahan Fine Arts Academy in 1991 and then continued his studies in painting at Tehran University of Art in 1995.
Bahrami began his artistic career in 1993. In this regard, he has collaborated with various specialized publications and magazines in the field of illustration and caricature. He has also organized several exhibitions and participated in both domestic and international biennials. However, Hamid Bahrami gained fame primarily for his caricatures in the 1990s and his creation of comic characters; With the decline of the role of caricature in the social and political atmosphere of Iran in the 2000’s, Bahrami lost interest in caricatures. And with his passion for animation, he established Bamdad Animation Company, which produces commercial teasers and short films.
After immigrating to the USA, in 2009, Hamid Bahrami won the title for Best Foreign Animation at ASIFA's annual meeting in Atlanta in the same year. He also collaborated with Dean Motter, the creator of the "Mr. X" comic book series, and Bahrami's name was included in the collection of designers for Dark Horse Publications because of this collaboration.
Bahrami is a multimedia artist who has utilized his artistic talents in various domains. However, he continues to dedicate a significant portion of his artistic endeavors to the field of visual arts. In this regard, he began collaborating with Homa Gallery in 2017, which resulted in the successful organization of several solo exhibitions.

Hamid Bahrami utilizes a range of materials in his artwork, with ink and acrylic being the predominant media he employs. He is one of the artists who have kept up with the latest developments in technology. Therefore, in recent years, Hamid Bahrami's artistic world has expanded into the digital realm, and this artist has also made contributions to the creation of NFT collections
Hamid Bahrami is also active in designing computer games. This artist has won several prizes and participated in more than 11 group and individual exhibitions in Tehran, London, Kuwait and America. His works were also exhibited in Jeddah Art Fair in 2018.
