Artwork Description

Ali Ajali was educated at the Lycee Francais and the College of Decorative Arts in Tehran, Iran, and is considered by some to be one of the few living masters of Iranian calligraphic painting. His complex and engaging works depict intertwined calligraphy in flowing, organic patterns. In the last 40 years Ajali has headed various departments of calligraphy at almost every major institute of higher education in Iran.
