Arin Hakimi, an interdisciplinary architect and designer, was born in 1983 in Tehran. He began his studies at the University of Pune, India (2002-2004), and then continued at the University of Tehran, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 2009. Later, he pursued advanced studies in computational design at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC).
From 2013 to 2021, Hakimi worked at Zaha Hadid Architects in London, contributing to major projects such as the Unicorn Island Masterplan in Chengdu and the King Abdullah Financial District metro station in Riyadh, which won a design award.
Beyond architecture, Hakimi is active in industrial and fashion design, with his works exhibited at events like Istanbul Design Week, Museu del Disseny in Barcelona, Fuorisalone in Milan, and Zaha Hadid's fashion show in London.
Hakimi views design as an experimental process based on patterns, examining materials and techniques to discover innovative methods within the field. He investigates complex geometries and the relationship between humans and objects, redefining foundational patterns to uncover new ideas in design.
