Amirhossein Zanjani was born in 1980 in Isfahan. He received his bachelor's in painting from the Islamic Azad University and then studied at the master level at Tehran University of Art.
Amirhossein Zanjani's first solo show was held at Mah Gallery. He has organized several solo and group shows inside and outside Iran. Zanjani is a nominee and finalist of the Celeste Award in the category of the best emerging painters in New York. He won the Celeste Scholarship at the Siena Art Institute in Italy. Amirhossein Zanjani was also a candidate and finalist for the "Prudential Eye" award in the field of the best emerging artist in Singapore.
In his works, Amirhossein Zanjani mostly refers to political and social issues and has social concerns. He has started to create works with rather bitter themes with expressionist strokes. Dark colors prevail in most of his works and indicate a not so bright and not so favorable atmosphere. Political history is like a memory in Zanjani's works, just as his other works, far from political references, still remain images in fading memory, as if the image arose from the artist's inner memory.
