Amir Ahmad Falsafi, a contemporary calligrapher, was born in 1958 in Ahvaz. He holds a First-Class Artistic Degree and is a member of the Supreme Council of the Iranian Calligraphers Association. Throughout his artistic career, Falsafi has revived the delicate art of Nastaliq script written with an extremely fine pen, a practice that had fallen into obscurity over time.
As a child, Falsafi was trained by Ibn-Ali Babaei. During his adolescence, he joined the Iranian Calligraphers Association and studied under the guidance of Seyed Hassan Mirkhani, Keykhosrow Khoroush, and Gholamhossein Amirkhani. His first solo exhibition was held in 1979 in Pune, India. Falsafi’s works have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and internationally, including in China, India, France, Malaysia, the UAE, the United States, Switzerland, Turkey, Italy, Azerbaijan, and Canada.
