His works refer to Eastern and Greek mythology. In recent years that the flow of epic fantasy has recaptured the public's attention through cinema and home theater, Montazeri has gone for the same kind of look in his artworks. Where the painting oscillates between comic strip, illustration and traditional painting. His works with their level of detail and significantly large dimensions show his interest in such visual traditions. Amin Montazeri's "The Legend of the Heirs of Fate" series is formed with works focused on myth and history. He has put various tales together and created a story told through the works of this collection. The details and multiplicity of figures and other elements are so great that the audience wants to discover them.
The use of color in Montazeri's works is an elaborate process and according to what the image and the artist say, the works were created during a considerably long period of time in an attempt to recall the lessons of history. In terms of visuals, Iranian paintings, Japanese prints, comic strips, and stained-glass paintings, and especially the paintings of Northern Europe during the Renaissance period, had a great influence on his works. After painting with acrylic, Montazeri works on the piece with ink or markers to creates textures. He has been inspired to make these textures from various images such as patterns that he saw in the clouds of Iranian miniature paintings.
