A certificate from the Alfred Basbous Foundation in Beirut will be given to the purchaser.

After living and studying in France, Alfred Basbous returned to his hometown of Rachana near Beirut. In 1994, he opened a sculpture park which would become a UNESCO listed site in 1997. The hilly landscapes of Rachana would have a major influence on his creation.

Drawing influence from the works of Jean Arp, Constantin Brâncuși and Henry Moore, he is a major figure in modern sculpture in the Middle East. In the second half of the 20th century, he sought to express form in its purest conception through a sculptural language, experimenting with figurative and abstract elements of the human figure, in particular the female body.
