Abbas Moayeri (1939-2020) was an Iranian-born French painter, sculptor and miniaturist.
Moayeri completed his education in sculpture at the Faculty of Decorative Arts in Tehran and studied Miniature under the supervision of famous masters such as Hossein Behzad. In the 1960’s, he became the substitute teacher for Hossein Behzad in the Tehran Fine Arts Academy and then went to France to complete his education.
During his professional life, Moayeri, held more than thirty solo exhibitions and several hundred group exhibitions, and more than fifty conferences on the subject of Iranian painting. He also won many awards and was an actor of theater and cinema.
It is worth noting that one of Moayeri's works was purchased by the Seoul Museum of Art in South Korea in 2016.
