The current series is part of the heritage Bahman Jalali has left us. By this exhibition, we aim to remember and honor this great artist and present a glimpse into his world to the contemporary audience. These photographs, based on a handwritten note by Bahman Jalali himself on the back of one, are “Visual Notes” and like a non-verbal travel diary. The photographs were taken between the years 1970 and 2000 during many travels and printed by the artist. While they do not chronicle a singular subject, the exhibition seeks to present previously-unseen photographs by one of the most influential photographers and instructors of his time, introducing his work to today’s viewers and younger generations.
