Candy Store New Paintings by Farhad Moshiri May 2 - May 28, 2007 In his previous exhibition at The Third Line, Farhad Moshiri exhibited large jar paintings depicting cracked surfaces decorated with flowery Farsi script. In his recent work using a cake icing dispenser, he sculpts elaborate patterns over delicately painted canvases. Over the top ornamentation including Swarovski Crystals and Baroque drapery, Moshiri’s paintings maintain a tongue and cheek elegance while playing off connotations of the creation of “taste”.
