Sanam Sayehafken was born in 1989 in Rasht. She studied in the field of management, and along the way, by participating in art school courses and drawing classes, she got acquainted with the techniques and basics of color in painting, and in 2015, under the supervision of Behrang Samadzadegan, she studied the theoretical and practical aspects of art.
She started her professional activity in 2018 by holding group exhibitions. Her collection of works named "Memory Hole" was held for the first time in 2020 and the second solo exhibition of this artist's works was held in 2021 with the title "Labyrinth" in Bavan Gallery. She creates a bridge between reality and dream in the works of " Labyrinth " series, which floats towards both sides of the bridge. The works of this artist depend on a multitude of related and unrelated elements. In fact, like the name of the collection, her works capture an elusive labyrinth.
Concepts such as isolation, suffering, death, etc. can be seen in the works of Sayehafken. In terms of form, due to the presence of lines in the image, these works lead the eye to a depth and show a new kind of dimension. The world of her works expresses a meaningful confusion with the ultimate meaning turning into emptiness. Sanam's works display hastiness in theme. Meaningful confusion in chaos and finding in the wake of loss is constantly visible in the art and conveyed to the audience. Sayehafken has collaborated with Mohsen and Vista galleries and Jingart Art Fair in Beijing.
