Born in Iran, Reza Aramesh approaches human suffering through the prism of Western sculpture, moving away from the aesthetics of his origins. While questioning the artistic hegemony of Europe, he wishes to distinguish himself by using the male and not the female figure. His research evokes 17th century Spanish religious sculpture and questions the canons of art.
