Omid Moshksar was born in 1972 in Shiraz. Moshksar's first solo exhibition was held in 1996 at the Tarh Gallery located in Shiraz, and so far his works have been displayed in more than 10 solo exhibitions in galleries such as Agnes Raben in Holland, Afrand and O Art Gallery respectively in Tehran and shiraz. His name can also be seen in numerous domestic and foreign group exhibitions.

Moshksar is known for his technical skills in designing and creating figurative images with a focus on human moods and emotions. He is a figurative artist who creates works in an expressionistic way, representing the states of people in society by emphasizing on the fluid and stimulating lines. The themes of Moshksar's works is mostly derived from the artist's experiences.
