Ashkan Abdoli was born in 1983 in Tehran. He holds an associate degree in painting from the University of Science and Culture and a bachelor's degree in illustration from Tehran Azad University. Abdoli held his first solo exhibition titled "Eternal Charm" at Nar Gallery.

In 2010, Ashkan Abdoli experienced his first international activity in agroup exhibition, titled "101", at Canvas Gallery in New York City. Also, in the following year, a work of his was presented in the group exhibition of Open Studio, International City of Arts in Paris. The solo exhibition "Line and Solitude" was the last collaboration of Abdoli with Nar Gallery, which was held in 2011. After that, Abdoli had 4 solo exhibitions in the years 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2021. Abdoli has had seven solo exhibitions in his portfolio and his works have been displayed in twenty group exhibitions.

In 2006, he participated in the production of a film titled "Hand Print" commissioned by Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts. Abdoli's last solo exhibition titled "The State" dates back to 2023 at Destan +2 Gallery.
